Music is very powerful. It’s the universal language that allows us to communicate with others.

When we moved from Japan to the United States, we were very young. We didn’t speak English so music became our unique way of crossing those borders.

Our performances allow us to express. through music, what we could not express through words.

Being sisters as well as a professional piano-duo, we have enjoyed an unusually close relationship as we rehearse, travel, perform and explore the possibilities that are now open to us as musicians.
